How we explain new material

We work through an equation step by step and use a diagram to make sense of a geometry problem. In physics, we identify the quantities given and how they relate to one another. In chemistry, students learn to write formulas and reaction equations. After looking at examples, they try a similar task on their own. This shows what they have understood and where they still need help.

Lessons for preschoolers work differently: short tasks alternate with games and activities that practise attention. Children learn to listen to instructions, answer questions and finish what they have started.

What students gain from lessons

Help with a specific topic

There is no need to go through the entire textbook again if the difficulty lies in one area. A lesson can focus on fractions, equations, geometry proofs, a physics problem or the chemistry topic a student is currently studying at school.

Preparation for tests

Before a test, the teacher helps the student review the relevant rules and practise the types of questions they are likely to encounter. The student can see which tasks they handle confidently and which ones need another look.

Convenient scheduling

Lesson times are agreed with each student or family in advance. Students can study from home. We also take their time zone into account when arranging the schedule.

Visual explanations

A diagram can be added to during a conversation, and a solution can be written out step by step. This is especially useful in geometry and physics, where students need to see diagrams, symbols and units of measurement. In chemistry, we use the same approach to work through formulas and reaction equations.

Independent problem solving

Once a rule makes sense, the student applies it in their own work. The teacher asks follow-up questions and helps them check their reasoning. Over time, students find it easier to start unfamiliar tasks without a prompt.

School readiness for preschoolers

Counting and learning letters are only part of preparing for school. Children also practise understanding a task, staying with it and asking for help when something is unclear.

Keeping parents informed

Parents can ask the teacher what their child worked on and which topics are still difficult. The teacher can suggest what to review at home and assign homework.

Practical details

An administrator can help arrange the schedule and explain payment options. You can ask about lesson prices and current discounts when you contact us through any of our school chats.

Advice for parents

Set up a place to study

Before the lesson, check the internet connection and put a notebook, pen, textbook and any other materials nearby. It will be easier for your child to focus if they do not have to search for supplies or move to another room during class.

Leave time for homework

Lessons and independent work serve different purposes. Choose a time when your child can do homework without rushing, and leave room in the schedule for rest. They do not have to complete everything immediately after a lesson.

Let your child try first

When your child gets stuck on a problem, ask them to show you what they have done so far. “What have you worked out already?” can be more helpful than giving them the answer. If the problem remains unclear, make a note of it for the next lesson.

Talk about mistakes without blame

A mistake can show where help is needed: with a rule, a calculation or the wording of a question. Find the difficult step together and pass the question on to the teacher. This makes it easier for your child to try a similar problem again.

Find examples in everyday life

You can encounter percentages when calculating a discount, geometry when measuring a room, and physics when talking about speed and distance. If your child asks how something works, try exploring the question together.

Keep extra materials manageable

A book, video or educational game can help your child revisit a topic. Choose materials that answer a question they actually have. If there is too much to work through, ask the teacher what would be most useful to review now.

Watch the workload

After a school day, your child may need a break before an online lesson or homework. A walk, some movement and time for favourite activities can help them keep a comfortable daily routine.

Stay in touch with the teacher

If your child repeatedly struggles with one type of problem or has begun avoiding lessons, tell the teacher. A specific example will help them return to the relevant topic in class.

Notice what has changed

School grades matter, but they do not tell the whole story. Look at which tasks your child can now complete on their own, whether they explain their reasoning more clearly and whether familiar topics cause fewer pauses. Talk with them about these changes.

Learning program

Mathematics

In the early grades, children learn to count, perform basic arithmetic and solve word problems. They practise reading a problem carefully: what information is given, what they need to find and which operation will help them reach an answer.

Later, students work with fractions, percentages, proportions and more complex problems. If they have missed an important step, they can return to it before moving on. Older students review school topics and prepare for final assessments and exams. We can also cover university-level mathematics with university students; the topics are discussed separately.

Algebra

We begin with simple equations, then move on to inequalities, systems of equations and simplifying expressions. Older students work through quadratic equations and other topics in their current course.

The steps matter as much as the answer. Students learn to choose a method, carry out the algebra and check their result.

Geometry

Students study shapes and their properties and work with diagrams, theorems and proofs. They begin by marking the given information on a diagram, then look for connections and learn to justify their solution. The problems are chosen to match the student’s school year.

Physics

Physics lessons cover phenomena and laws included in the student’s school curriculum. Students work with physical quantities, units of measurement, formulas and graphs. When solving a problem, they learn to understand the situation described, choose the information they need and check whether their answer makes sense.

Chemistry

The first topics introduce atoms, molecules, elements and compounds. Students learn to use the periodic table, write formulas and balance chemical equations.

In inorganic chemistry, we study the properties of metals, oxides, acids, bases and salts. In organic chemistry, we cover the structure and properties of major groups of compounds, including hydrocarbons, alcohols and organic acids. The order of topics depends on the student’s school curriculum and what they have already studied.

School readiness

In online lessons, preschoolers explore letters and sounds, learn to count, compare objects and follow instructions. Language activities help them choose words, answer in full sentences and retell short stories.

Logic activities help children spot similarities and differences, recognise patterns and group objects. Drawing, tracing and practising parts of letters and numbers help prepare them for writing. The tasks become more challenging as each child learns.

Our students’ progress

Progress shows up in everyday schoolwork: a student understands a problem more quickly, can explain their solution and spots an error in their own calculations. For one student, a test grade matters most; for another, the achievement is finally understanding a topic that has been difficult for a long time.

School grades

When missed topics become clearer, children find it easier to complete homework and answer questions in class. Better grades are encouraging, but it also helps to notice what lies behind them: the student relies less on hints and approaches new problems with more confidence.

Tests and exams

Preparation helps students see which types of questions are familiar and where they lose time or make mistakes. Lessons can return to those areas and give students practice in the format of the upcoming assessment. This applies to school tests as well as final and entrance exams.

Olympiad problems

Students who enjoy a challenge can work on Olympiad-style problems. These often call for trying several approaches and explaining why a solution works. Taking part in an Olympiad can become a goal to prepare for with a teacher.

Independence

Sometimes a student knows a rule but cannot see how to apply it without an example. Taking the first step, checking calculations and spotting when an answer does not make sense are also signs of progress. These habits can help in other school subjects too.

Students in different countries

Families living in different countries study with us. Students can bring assignments from their own school to a lesson: a textbook, a topic or a piece of work they found difficult. This keeps the focus on the material they need right now.

How to get started

One unsolved problem, an upcoming test or a missed topic can be enough reason to book a first lesson. You do not need to make a detailed plan beforehand; simply tell the teacher what is causing difficulty.

If you have a textbook, homework assignment or sample test, show it to the teacher. These materials make it easier to identify where the difficulty began and which topic to start with. For a preschooler, you can describe what your child can already do independently and which activities they enjoy.

As lessons continue, it becomes clearer how much time a topic needs and what to cover next. One student may need to strengthen the basics; another may be preparing for an exam or ready to try harder problems. Future lessons can change as new questions and goals arise.
