Course overview

At Montessori Center, school students study chemistry online. Teachers help them understand school topics, fill gaps in their knowledge, and learn to solve problems independently.

The course includes intermediate and advanced levels. We select topics and set the difficulty of exercises based on the student’s grade level, current knowledge, and school curriculum.

Lessons are held one-on-one with a teacher in real time. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.

Teaching approach

Our approach to teaching chemistry follows the curriculum of the child’s school. We use textbooks and school materials.

The teacher explains the topic and works through examples with the student. The child then completes similar exercises independently, explains their work, and checks the answer.

Intermediate level

The intermediate level is suitable for students learning the basics of chemistry. We learn about atoms, molecules, and chemical elements and practice using the periodic table. We study the composition of substances, read formulas, and write chemical equations. We solve problems on topics the child is covering at school.

Advanced level

The advanced level is designed for high school students with a basic knowledge of chemistry. We work through more challenging assignments: planning solutions, applying knowledge from several topics, and checking calculations. Depending on the school curriculum and the student’s goals, we explore complex topics in more detail or prepare for exams.
