Course Overview
The painting course is conducted online and is designed for children from 5 years old and up, as well as adults without age restrictions. In our painting course, you will learn to create bright and expressive paintings using various techniques and styles, and master the basics of color theory and composition. We have developed a training program that includes levels: preparatory, beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
A painting lesson lasts 45 minutes and is conducted individually. Our teachers teach in Russian, Ukrainian, and English, providing the opportunity to choose the language of instruction. Lesson schedules are tailored individually to each student, considering their availability and preferences.
Online painting lessons are held on platforms like Google Meet and Zoom. Teachers have higher art education and extensive experience, with many being practicing artists participating in exhibitions, plein air sessions, and master classes.
Lesson frequency is selected individually. We recommend conducting lessons at least twice a week to ensure steady progress and avoid long gaps between lessons, which helps in better material assimilation.
Students of our school participate in exhibitions, competitions, and master classes, receiving diplomas and certificates confirming their skill level. Students are also awarded certificates upon completion of each module and level.
Teaching Methodology
The teaching methodology of painting at our center is an author’s program aimed at the individual achievements of each student and is suitable for both children and adults. Our methodology is based on setting specific artistic goals from the start of training. Goals include mastering various painting techniques and styles. Skill assessment is carried out through participation in exhibitions and competitions, where successful presentation of works confirms the achievement of set goals.
Methodology Benefits
Clear Goals: Students understand what they are striving for and have clear benchmarks for achieving their painting goals.
Flexible Learning: The program allows students to progress at their own pace depending on their individual skill acquisition speed.
Practical Experience: Participation in exhibitions and competitions provides practical experience and the opportunity to apply acquired skills.
Accessibility for All Ages: The methodology is suitable for both children and adults, ensuring the universality and accessibility of learning.
Continuous Development: After achieving all goals, students can continue to develop their skills, increasing their level of mastery.
"Preparatory" Level
The preparatory painting program is designed for young children aged 5-6 years. During these early years, online painting lessons introduce young students to the basics of color theory, proper brush and paint use, and they begin to create their first works. The formation of correct skills and the step-by-step mastery of basic painting techniques are fundamental and key components of art. The earlier a child starts learning, the more chances they have to develop high artistic skills.
"Beginner" Level
At the beginner level, students fully grasp the basics of color theory and composition, learning to work with various materials and tools. This period includes mastering color mixing techniques, creating simple compositions, and studying different painting styles. Upon completion of this course, students can create elementary art pieces, possessing basic painting techniques.
"Intermediate" Level
At the intermediate level, students acquire all the key skills necessary to create more complex art compositions. Special attention is paid to developing paint application techniques, confidence in painting, and artistic expressiveness. Artistic expressiveness includes the ability to convey the emotional context of the work, making it deeper and more memorable.
"Advanced" Level
At the advanced level, students master complex techniques and painting styles, recreating the author's intent and style. Students study various techniques, master numerous methods, and develop skills in creating art compositions.
Upon completing the painting course, students can create complex works, fully conveying the author's intent and artistic style. They can deeply immerse themselves in the essence of an artistic work and embody it through their work, applying all acquired technical skills. Students develop their own artistic style and have a high level of painting technique.
Course Goals
One of the main objectives of the painting course is mastering the technique of drawing, as painting is a unique and distinctive art form. For a beginner artist, this means developing skills in working with color, shape, and composition, which are necessary for creating complex and expressive works. This requires regular practice and the improvement of artistic mastery.
Additionally, students learn various artistic techniques, which allow them to adapt drawing techniques depending on the context and desired emotional effect.
Another important goal is to develop skills in working with color and form. These skills are essential for every artist to create harmonious and expressive compositions. After achieving this goal, our students can independently create and analyze artworks inspired by various sources.
One of the course goals is also to learn to create works in diverse genres and styles. This promotes confidence in artistic abilities, helps manage anxiety when presenting their works to the public, and allows evaluating personal progress in the context of other artists' creativity. The main goal of the lessons is not competition but continuous improvement and enjoyment of the art creation process.
Benefits of Painting Lessons
Development of Creative Thinking: Painting lessons stimulate creative thinking. The process of creating art requires not only technical skills but also innovation and imagination. Artists learn to express their ideas and emotions through color, shape, and composition, which fosters a unique creative approach to problem-solving.
Improvement of Motor Skills and Coordination: Drawing requires precise and coordinated hand movements. Working with brushes, pencils, and other artistic tools develops fine motor skills and coordination. This is especially beneficial for children as it enhances their overall physical abilities and aids in other activities requiring precise movements.
Stress Relief and Emotional Release: Engaging in painting has a positive impact on emotional well-being. The process of drawing helps distract from everyday worries and relax. Artists can express their emotions through art, which contributes to emotional release and stress reduction. Studies show that creative activities promote the production of endorphins—happiness hormones.
Enhancement of Observation and Attention to Detail: Painting requires attention to small details. Artists learn to keenly observe the world around them, noticing nuances of form, color, and light. This develops attentiveness and the ability to see beauty in everyday things, as well as improves analysis and synthesis skills.
Boosting Self-Esteem and Confidence: Creating artworks and participating in exhibitions and competitions boost self-esteem and confidence. Each completed drawing or painting is a personal achievement that inspires further success. Positive feedback and recognition from others also strengthen belief in one's abilities.
Development of Creativity and Innovative Thinking: Painting lessons promote creativity and innovative thinking. Artists learn to experiment with different techniques and materials, seek unconventional solutions, and approaches. This skill is useful not only in art but also in other areas of life where a creative approach and flexible thinking are required.
Socialization and Communication Skills: Painting classes, especially in groups, enhance social skills. Artists exchange ideas, learn to work as a team, and accept criticism. Collaborative creativity helps find common ground with others, developing the ability to express thoughts and emotions through art.
Cultural and Aesthetic Development: Painting lessons contribute to cultural and aesthetic development. Artists study the history of art, familiarize themselves with various styles and movements, and learn to understand and appreciate artistic heritage. This enriches their inner world, broadens their horizons, and helps form artistic taste.
Strengthening Discipline and Self-Control: The process of learning to paint requires discipline and self-control. Regular classes and the pursuit of perfection develop perseverance, patience, and responsibility. These qualities help achieve set goals not only in art but also in other areas of life.
In conclusion, painting lessons offer numerous benefits for both children and adults. They develop creative and critical thinking, improve motor skills, contribute to emotional well-being, and aid in social adaptation. Regardless of the level of preparation, painting opens up unique opportunities for self-expression and personal growth for everyone.

How Online Painting Classes Work
Device Requirements: To participate in online classes, you will need a device with internet connectivity and a built-in or external camera—such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Internet Connection: A stable and fast internet connection is crucial for a quality learning experience. We recommend conducting an internet speed test before the class starts to prevent interruptions during your session with the instructor.
Video Conferencing Platform: Classes are conducted via platforms like Zoom or Google Meet. Please install and configure the necessary software in advance. Check your video and audio functionality on your device before the lesson.
Sound: For better audibility and to minimize background noise, we strongly recommend using high-quality headphones with a microphone. This will enhance the audio interaction and allow you to hear the instructor's guidance and comments more clearly.
Lighting and Workspace: Ensure your workspace is well-lit so the instructor can clearly see your work and provide constructive feedback. Ideally, use a bright light source directed at your work area without causing glare on the screen or work materials.
Lesson Link: The link to the online session will be sent to you well in advance via email or your preferred messenger service. Please ensure you have received the link a day before the lesson starts.
Lesson Materials: Paper: Use thick paper for painting to absorb moisture without warping. For drawing with pencils or other dry materials, any available paper will suffice. Drawing Instruments: Prepare a regular pencil and eraser for sketches. You may use any art materials you have at home to fill in the sketches—colored pencils, markers, paints.
Additional Materials for Painting: Water Container: Prepare a small container for rinsing brushes. Brushes: You will need two to three brushes of different thicknesses to achieve various strokes. Palette: A specialized palette or any smooth, non-porous surface is suitable for mixing paints.
Workspace Setup: Device Placement: Position your device so the instructor can clearly see you and your work area. This will help them better assess your technique and provide real-time corrections. Technical Testing: Enter the Zoom or Google Meet app using the provided link 10-15 minutes before the class starts. Check that your camera and microphone are working correctly and that your internet connection is stable.
These preparatory steps will ensure a smooth and productive painting lesson.
Instructions and Feedback: Your painting instructor will provide detailed instructions on various drawing techniques and approaches to composition. You will receive feedback that will help improve your skills.
Ask Questions: Do not hesitate to ask your teacher about any aspects of the technique or challenges you encounter. Your instructor is ready to help you understand all your queries.
Practice: A significant portion of the lesson is dedicated to practical drawing. You will create your own works while the instructor observes and offers suggestions for enhancing your technique.
Instructor Demonstrations: The instructor will concurrently create a painting with you, helping you better understand how to achieve the desired effects in your works.
Lesson Conclusion: At the end of the lesson, you will discuss the techniques learned, receive homework assignments, and set plans for future sessions.
Materials for Independent Practice: The instructor will provide you with materials for home practice, including recommendations on drawing techniques, examples of artwork, and additional resources for an in-depth study of painting.
