How Electric Guitar Lessons Are Conducted
Equipment: For classes, you will need an electric guitar, amplifier, pick, and a cable to connect the guitar to the amplifier. Additionally, a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access and a webcam for video calls is required.
Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and fast, as this affects the quality of the video call during the lesson.
Video Conference Platform: We use Zoom or Google Meet for conducting online lessons. Please install the necessary application on your device in advance.
Audio: Use headphones to improve sound quality and reduce background noise, helping you hear the instructor better and ensuring clearer communication.
The link to the lesson will be sent to you in advance via email or messenger.
Sheet music for the lesson, if required, will also be sent to you in advance. Print out the sheet music before the lesson begins.
Position your device so that the instructor can see not only your face but also your hands, torso, and the instrument.
Prepare all necessary equipment in advance, ensure that the guitar is tuned, and the amplifier is functioning correctly. Good room lighting is also important so the instructor can clearly see all the details of your guitar playing.
Log into the Zoom or Google Meet app via the lesson link a few minutes before it starts to address any technical issues if they arise.
Instructions and Feedback: Your electric guitar teacher will provide clear instructions on the correct posture, performing exercises, and mastering initial musical pieces.
Questions: You can ask questions at any point during the lesson. Do not hesitate to consult your teacher about any unclear aspects.
Practice: The main part of the lesson will be devoted to practical performance. You will play while the instructor observes, listens, and demonstrates by example.
Teacher Demonstration: Your teacher will demonstrate specific techniques and methods, helping you better understand how to perform them.
Lesson Conclusion: At the end of the lesson, you and your instructor will discuss the material covered, homework, and plans for the next lesson.
The instructor will provide you with educational materials for self-study at home: sheet music, recordings, textbooks, links, and other resources that will help you prepare for the next lesson. The teacher may offer video recordings demonstrating techniques and exercises, which will be useful for your independent practice and review of the lesson material.

At the beginner level, students start from scratch if they have no prior experience with musical instruments. Intermediate and advanced levels require basic skills. Children aged 6 and older can begin with a preparatory stage that introduces them to the fundamentals of musical performance on the guitar. For these young guitarists, starting with a classical guitar at 6 years old is recommended.
