You will need an electric guitar and a guitar pick for online lessons. Additionally, an amplifier and a cable to connect the electric guitar to the amplifier are necessary.
A device with a camera and microphone is required for online electric guitar lessons.
Using headphones will improve the sound quality during the lesson.
Sheet music and other materials, if needed, will be sent to you in advance. You will need to print them out before the lesson or open them on your device's screen.
Independent work at home helps solidify the material learned in lessons.
A minimum of 20 minutes of daily practice on the electric guitar is recommended at the beginning stage.
Independent study not only provides enjoyment but also contributes to achieving high results.
Trial Lesson
If you would like to book a trial piano lesson, you need to schedule and pay $6.
The trial lesson is conducted individually and lasts for 45 minutes.

The price of a 4-lesson subscription is $56 (the cost of one lesson is $14).

"Beginner" Level
Age: from 8 years old. Students start with learning the basics of playing the electric guitar, including the correct hand and body position, elements of music literacy, and safety technique. They master simple melodies and basic playing skills, such as chords and rhythm. The beginner level program includes studying music theory (harmony, tonalities, tablatures, and scales), as well as compositions of different styles (blues, rock, jazz, funk, metal, punk, pop music, reggae). Students master exercises for developing technique, study famous guitar solos, acquire skills of playing in an ensemble, use effects and pedals, and perform at a concert.
"Intermediate" Level
Age: from 10 years old. At the intermediate level, interpretation skills are developed. Students study medium complexity pieces and practice playing in duets and ensembles. They perform at concerts or competitions and study solo and ensemble pieces of medium complexity.
"Advanced" Level
Age: from 12 years old. Students study pieces of various styles and work on complex pieces. They acquire improvisation skills and create their own solos. The advanced level program includes studying complex techniques of playing the electric guitar. The course ends with a final concert with the performance of their own composition and performance with a group.

How Electric Guitar Lessons Are Conducted
Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and fast, as this affects the quality of the video call during the lesson.
Video Conference Platform: We use Zoom or Google Meet for conducting online lessons. Please install the necessary application on your device in advance.
Audio: Use headphones to improve sound quality and reduce background noise, helping you hear the instructor better and ensuring clearer communication.
The link to the lesson will be sent to you in advance via email or messenger.
Sheet music for the lesson, if required, will also be sent to you in advance. Print out the sheet music before the lesson begins.
Position your device so that the instructor can see not only your face but also your hands, torso, and the instrument.
Prepare all necessary equipment in advance, ensure that the guitar is tuned, and the amplifier is functioning correctly. Good room lighting is also important so the instructor can clearly see all the details of your guitar playing.

Ilya Bily is a teacher of classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and drums at the Montessori Center. He graduated from the Kiev Municipal Academy of Music named after R.M. Glier in the guitar class and is receiving a master's degree in music art at the Boris Grinchenko University in Kiev, specializing in sound directing.
Ilya teaches all types of guitars, as well as gives drum lessons online. The teacher actively participates in concerts and festivals, performs as part of a group, and sets an example for his students with his personal performance. In online lessons, Ilya works individually with children and adults. Ilya's pedagogical repertoire is very wide - from jazz to rock, the best hits of modern popular music, jazz standards, a huge selection of compositions in any styles and musical genres.
Ilya's students participate in competitions and concerts, win prizes, and become real musicians, playing on stage for listeners or at home for relatives and friends. Ilya teaches in Russian, Ukrainian, or English.
Anzhelika Udod
Guitar teacher
Anzhelika is a teacher of classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele at the Montessori center. She graduated from the Sumy Professional College of Arts and Culture named after D.S. Bortnyansky specializing in guitar. She is currently pursuing a second degree in "Sound Directing" at the Kyiv University named after Boris Grinchenko.
Anzhelika is professionally proficient in all types of guitars and teaches both adults and children in online classes. Anzhelika's teaching repertoire is very broad - from classics to jazz and contemporary music.
Anzhelika's students from all over the world are winners of music competitions, holders of grand prix and laureates. Some students take advantage of Anzhelika's unique multi-instrumentality and study several types of guitars, transitioning from classical guitar to electric guitar and bass, as well as learning the specifics of playing the ukulele, while still remaining with their teacher. Guitar teacher Alexander Savin is a teacher of classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele at the Montessori Center. He graduated from the R. M. Glière Kiev Municipal Academy of Music with a degree in "Musical Art".
Alexander teaches both children and adults. In his individual guitar lessons, he applies the main method of M. Montessori - to inspire and teach the student to learn, because in musical art, independent practice at home without a teacher is essential.
Alexander is an active musician, actively engaged in performing activities, gives concerts as part of several ensembles, is the leader and frontman of his own group, records songs, and releases albums.

Artem Ostroverkh is a guitar teacher at the Montessori Center. Artem holds a master's degree from the Department of Musical Arts at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture.
Artem teaches playing all types of guitars - classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. In his lessons, he often plays in an ensemble with students, demonstrating techniques, technical secrets, and devotes time to studying music theory.
Artem's students perform a diverse range of music. The instruction begins with simple melodies, and then progresses based on the student's musical tastes - Artem teaches various music styles.

Vladimir Soroka
Guitar Teacher
Vladimir Soroka has been a teacher of classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele at the Montessori center since 2015. He graduated from the R. M. Gliere Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music, the pop-jazz department, with a specialty in guitar.
Vladimir teaches all types of guitars to both children and adults and is a virtuoso performer himself. His students play in bands, acquiring skills not only on classical guitar but also on electric guitar, bass, and ukulele. Vladimir is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in both drums and keyboards, so he can accompany his students on another instrument and conduct ensemble rehearsals.
In Vladimir's guitar lessons, music of various genres is heard - from classical to modern rock. Vladimir's students are winners of competitions, participants in concerts, and festivals.

The electric guitar course program is designed for both children, starting at 8 years old, and adults without age restrictions. It encompasses three levels of instruction: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Upon completion of each level, students receive a certificate. At the beginner level, students start from scratch if they have no prior experience with musical instruments. Intermediate and advanced levels require basic skills. Children aged 6 and older can begin with a preparatory stage that introduces them to the fundamentals of musical performance on the guitar. For these young guitarists, starting with a classical guitar at 6 years old is recommended.
